Oh, this is brilliant. I want to scream when no one includes my family members with severe autism in research – or when I have to play MD doctor instead of PhD doctor to get him the right help because ahole MDs dismiss all signs of clinical distress as “behaviors” or “psych episodes” that “those kids” just have. Argh. It took years to even get the proper diagnosis the kid had seizures at all, though it would have been easy in a kid who could talk.
