I’m moving to the Big Easy!

It’s with great excitement that I announce I have accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at Loyola University in New Orleans, starting this August. I will be setting up my lab and working to establish both a clinical and computational lab dedicated to studying conditions like autism and how it relates to hereditary connective tissue disorders like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS). We’ll also be working to better understand how and why autism genes evolved and the many roles they’ve played through time.

I’m also really looking forward to setting up some collaborative opportunities to study related topics such as PTSD and resilience in autism, as well as the role of stress hormones in autism. I’m thrilled to say that the folks I’ll be working with are brilliant and super nice to boot!

I will be sure to post my new university contact information once I have it, so the zebra community can keep in touch and hopefully may even come and take part in some clinical studies. You can also always reach me through my gmail.

Wish me luck!!
